Guardian appoints Washington Post digital executive Caroline Little

Screenshot of Guardian America website Guardian News & Media (GNM) has appointed Caroline Little as a special adviser to its US team.

Little, who will take up her role next month, is CEO and publisher of the Washington Post's digital division, washingtonpost.newsweek interactive.

Before joining the Post she worked as deputy general counsel at the US News & World Report.

“We are in the early stages of building our digital presence in the US, and I am really delighted that we will be able to draw on the wise counsel of such an experienced operator as Caroline,” said Tim Brooks, managing director of GNM, in a press release.

“We know that in addition to her mastery of digital business development, she thoroughly understands and shares the values which drive our business, which is centred on truly independent journalism.”

As part of the move Little will join the board of ContentNext, which was recently acquired by GNM.
