The Rory Peck Awards, which celebrate the work of international freelance cameramen and camerawomen in TV news and current affairs, are calling for entries.
The prizes are open to all freelancers who have had work broadcast between August 1 2008 and July 31 2009.
To qualify for the Rory Peck Award for News, which honours freelance coverage of on-the-day news, the submission should be a single story of rushes/non-voiced pieces with a maximum duration of 10 minutes.
Submissions to the features category, which recognises in-depth pieces, should be no longer than an hour in length.
The third prize, the Sony Professional Impact Award, focuses on freelance news footage that raises humanitarian issues and has had an impact internationally or contributed to a change in perception or policy. Entries in this field should also be a maximum one hour in length.
This is your chance to bring your considerable skills to bear on this challenging role as you edit our bi-monthly magazine, GMCtoday and help produce well-presented publications.
