Glasgow Caledonian University launches first Scottish multimedia journalism masters
The MA Multimedia Journalism course, which is accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ), will begin teaching in September.
The course will cover reporting and production for print, radio, TV and online media, according to a press release from the university.
Nick Bevens, former business editor of the Scotsman, and Claire Dean, former reporter for stv's Scotland Today news programme, have been enlisted to teach on the new postgraduate degree.
Bevens will focus on business, international and specialist journalism, while Dean will lead the broadcast portion of the course.
"The media landscape is changing faster than ever before and I'm excited to be involved in the new masters course at Caledonian, which aims to produce highly multi-skilled graduates ready to break new ground working across all media," said Dean.
The final open days and entrance tests for the course are on August 18 and 28 and September 11. More information on the MA Multimedia Journalism is available through the university's website.
