BBC moots job cuts
BBC bosses are considering shedding jobs at BBC News Online in an effort to cut costs, according to reports.The corporation is conducting a 'value for money' review in the run-up to its Charter Renewal in 2006.
BBC News Online could lose some of its 200 newsdesk staff, and BBC1's 1pm TV news bulletin could also be replaced to save money.
"Reviews are ongoing across the BBC, but no decisions have been taken," a BBC spokesperson said.
The results of the review are expected in December.
