ONA plugs cyber debate

Web journalists who can't make it in person to the 2004 Online News Association (ONA) Conference in Hollywood will be able to keep up with the debate through the conference blog.

Participants are being encouraged to comment on conference themes and post links to related news and stories using the venue's Wi-fi network. Last year the ONA also ran a blog for its Chicago conference.

A key issue will be the role of the web in the recent US presidential elections. Speakers include former presidential campaign manager Joe Trippi and political blogger Wonkette.

The event runs from 12 to 13 November at the Renaissance Hollywood hotel in California, culminating in the 2004 Online Journalism Awards.
