Digital awards still open

The deadline for entries to this year's Revolution awards has been extended by one week.

The awards celebrate the best of the UK's digital marketing industry with prizes for a range of categories including best online advertising, best use of email and best online property from a media owner.

Last year the awards attracted nearly 500 hopefuls and organisers hope to top that figure this year, extending the deadline to encourage last minute applications.

Revolution magazine editor Philip Smith told dotJournalism that entries take a full week to process.

"Entries come in all shapes and sizes," said Mr Smith.

"Last year Dyson sent a vacuum cleaner as part of their entry for a marketing design campaign. At the end of two days' judging we had the cleanest floor ever at Revolution."

The deadline for entries has been put back to 26 November. The results will be announced at a ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on 18 March 2005 presented by comedian Stephen Fry.

Previous winners include Emap's Aloud.com Aloud.com site, Google for its AdSense program and web intelligence firm Hitwise.
