Top digital news job up for grabs
The BBC is searching for a new head of news interactive following Richard Deverell's move to become chief operating officer of CBBC, the corporation's services for children.Mr Deverell led news interactive for five years and developed the BBC's strategy for web-based news, CEEFAX and interactive television news during a period of intense growth.
"It was a great job in a great department, and involved working with interesting people and tackling very many challenges," Mr Deverell told dotJournalism.
"But I'd been doing it for five years and wanted to learn something new. CBBC has very different output, including drama, entertainment and factual which I wasn't exposed to at BBC News."
Applications for the role of head of news interactive close on 18 July.
