Sun Online plans integration with MySpace

Sun Online is exploring links with News Corp's newly acquired MySpace network, according to MediaGuardian.

Users would be able to create a 'MySun' portal on thesun.co.uk using the MySpace template, offering video and photograph sharing and personalised blogs and web pages.

News Corp is also reported to have considered integrating MySpace with Times Online, also owned by News Corp.

MySpace was purchased by News Corp last year and now has 60 million global users, generating more traffic than BBC.co.uk.

The acquisition was recently described by Reuters CEO Tom Glocer as a turning point for the industry, giving the corporation "marketing data most of us would kill for and an early warning system of brand choices in the world youth market".
