Telegraph hints at site overhaul with blog redesign

Telegraph.co.uk's revamped blog section hints at the site's re-design, scheduled for this Summer.

Telegraph designers worked with Interesource, which provided the technology behind the site's jobs section, to develop the new platform.

Each post now includes direct links to post to blog link aggregation sites Digg, del.icio.us, Blinklist, Reddit, Ma.gnolia and Newsvine.

Entries now also feature tags and feeds. Tags make relevant web content easier to track and search, and feeds enable web users to keep up to date with new content as soon as it is published.

"We know many of our readers are aware of RSS and Atom feeds and we're going to do everything we can to encourage more people to use the facility," said Shane Richmond, web news editor for Telegraph.co.uk.

"Feed readers aren't always easy to get to grips with, but they are a fantastic way to read blogs. Our blogs have attracted a healthy level of debate from the beginning and we hope the new page will make this even easier."

Three of the Telegraph's blogs are on the new platform today with more to follow on a new natural language link at blogs.telegraph.co.uk.
