NYTimes.com launches daily Urbanite email

NYTimes.com will tomorrow launch Urbanite - a daily arts, culture and leisure email newsletter.

Urbanite will be written by a Brooklyn-based Times journalist Melena Ryzik, who has covered culture and style in the city since 2001.

The newsletter will offer editorial on events in the city, highlight critics' picks, blogs, podcasts and multimedia on the newspapers’ site.

The Friday edition of the free subscription service - Urbanite Weekend - will replace the existing Times New York Style weekly email.
