Newcastle Evening Chronicle launches multilingual blog
The Newcastle Evening Chronicle has launched a multilingual blog.Poles to Newcastle is a dual Polish/English blog on ChronicleLive.co.uk aimed at the Polish community living in North East England.
The blog is written by Alexandra Jarocka, a Polish interpreter, who posts about her life after moving to the North East.
According to developers, there are also plans for the blog to include tips and information for Polish people living in the UK, covering how to find a job, how to make friends and how to resolve problems such as the language barrier.
"Like many areas across the country the Polish population has exploded in the North East over the last couple of years," said Chronicle editor Paul Robertson.
"Hopefully Alex's blog can help integrate the Polish community into life in the North East and provide a platform through the Chronicle where they can discuss issues or seek advice."
