MySpace partners with NBC, MSNBC for political convention citizen journalism contest

decision08comp News Corporation's social network MySpace has launched contest in partnership with NBC News and msnbc.com to find a citizen journalists to cover national conventions of the Democratic and Republican parties later this summer in the US.

The Decision '08 Convention contest is inviting users over the age of 18 to submit two minute video pieces answering one of the following questions: "Why do you vote?" "Why are you the best person for this job?" "How will you stand out in the crowd and get the scoop no one else can?"

Judges will select five finalists from whom users of the social network will then be able to cast votes and select two winners. One winner will attend the Republican National Convention in Minnesota and the other will attend the Democratic National Convention in Colorado.
