Details: The Rory Peck Awards is the only showcase in the world to celebrate the work of international freelance cameramen and camerawomen in TV news and current affairs.
The submissions are opened to all freelancers who have had work broadcast between 1 August 2008 and 31 July 2009.
Categories include: The Sony Professional Impact Award, which honours freelance news footage.
The Rory Peck Award for News, which honours freelance coverage of on-the-day news.
The Rory Peck Award for Features,which honours freelance news features.

Details: The European Regional Airlines Association gives out its award for the best-written, most accurate and current article about intra-European air transport. To be eligible to enter articles must be published between 1 August 2008 and 31 July 2009.
Prize: The author of the article will gain international media coverage and see their article published in the ERA newspaper as well as on its website.

It was started few years ago to honor the former Times journalist.
