About this page:

The image at the top depicts Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as adopted by the UN 60 years ago and sets out global rights for freedom of expression (created on Wordle and licensed under Creative Commons).

Sadly, every day these rights are violated. Journalism.co.uk tries to follow up on the most important media stories of the day from a global and online perspective. Of course, it's impossible to cover everything. This page is the opportunity to publicise and track threats to press freedom around the world, highlighting the work of international journalism organisations, such as Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and the Committee to Protect Journalists.
