Clever Travel Adapter with USB Charger Keeps Gadgets Going
Stockton-on-Tees, UK (1st May 2008) – LINDY Electronics is making it easier to leave the laptop at home this summer and yet still be able to charge MP3 and DVD players, cameras, camcorders and the myriad of other devices that can’t be left behind, with its latest worldwide mains plug travel adapter that includes a USB slot. This ingenious travel adapter is suitable for use in Europe, the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and China, but best of all, the input socket is able to take plugs from all of those countries too. This makes it ideal for those lucky enough to spend so much time abroad that some electrical items do not have UK plugs, the travel adapter can still be used wherever the traveller goes.
“So often you end up having to take a laptop away with you, just to be able to charge those essential travel gadgets,” says Andrew Ingram, Product Manager of LINDY Electronics. “The end result is a farcical array of cables with a laptop on charge overnight and various gadgets charging via the USB ports. Not only is it ineffective use of electricity, it’s probably not doing the battery of your laptop much good either.”
The LINDY All-in-one Mains Plug and USB Travel Adapter has a 5V DC output and is supplied with two different adapter caps, one that supports the various mains plugs and the other USB devices. To change country output the user just needs to slide the selector on the side of the adapter to choose the appropriate plug for that region.
