LINDY Launches HDMI Switch that Supports “Deep Colour”
Stockton-on-Tees, UK (20th June 2008) – LINDY Electronics announced today the launch of its new 4 port HDMI switch with remote control that supports high-definition (HD) resolutions up to 1080p, has deep colour capability and is compatible with HD digital audio lossless formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD that provide a stunning 13.1 surround sound.
Fully HDMI 1.3b and HDCP compliant, the LINDY HDMI switch allows the user to connect up to four HDMI/DVI source devices to a single HDTV display. Compatibility with different manufactures’ devices is sometimes an issue with inferior switches, but the advanced Sony chipset inside the LINDY HDMI 1.3b Switch ensures trouble free operation with a wide range of HDMI sources.
“As HDMI 1.3 devices start to hit the high street, our latest switch allows users to take full advantage of the new standard without having to worry about swapping cables around each time the want to switch devices,” says Andrew Ingram, Product Manager of LINDY Electronics. “It’s backward compatible too, so even if users aren’t ready to upgrade all of their equipment just yet, they don’t have to worry about changes in the near future.”
The LINDY HDMI 1.3b Switch comes complete with an infra red remote control, making it easy for users to switch between devices without having to leave the comfort of their armchair and the unit’s stylish metal design compliments existing audio-visual equipment.
Technical specification:
• Supports HDTV resolutions: 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p
• Deep colour capable; supports 30/36/48 bit colour depth
• Supports High Definition audio, Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS-HD
