New York:

Biofuel cultivation and climate change are on the agenda when the United Nations economic and social council addresses political leaders in New York this week.

With last week’s oil price rise to $140 a barrel, political leaders are looking for ways to enhance the biofuel industry whilst tackling climate change issues.

Paris:

The International Energy Agency in Paris hosts a conference about global policy and divergent views about the future.

The conference will focus on energy security, economic development, environmental protection and mitigating climate change.
