Oil hits new record at $146 a barrel
Global oil prices have continued to climb with US light, sweet crude and London Brent now sitting above $146 a barrel.
The price rise comes after the US government announced that crude oil stockpiles had fallen more than expected last week.
Official estimates say that the $2 price rise will mean an extra penny per litre on fuel prices at the pump.
