LONDON, July 11, 2008 – AppDNA, the leading developer of application testing software, this week co-presented the application compatibility session alongside Microsoft at the 2008 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC), attended by 12,000 Microsoft partners from around the world.

Presenting at the partner conference in Houston in a session entitled “Application Compatibility in the Windows Vista Environment” Paul Schnell, CTO at AppDNA presented alongside Jeremy Chapman, senior product manager, Windows Vista Deployment. Chapman described how Windows Vista is ready for enterprise deployment and called on deployment partners to discuss their success in helping their customers migrate to Windows Vista.

To illustrate this point, Schnell then demonstrated to the audience the capability of AppDNA’s AppTitude product in providing rapid, accurate automated compatibility assessments of applications for Windows Vista. The AppTitude solution makes it easy for organisations to understand which of their applications will work on Windows Vista and dramatically reduces testing time. Easy to understand “traffic light” reporting shows which applications have critical issues, which applications require detailed testing and which applications (generally the vast majority) are “good to go” for Windows Vista.

Schnell said: “The stability of Windows Vista is now widely accepted and one of the final hurdles for organisations is understanding how to migrate their applications.” He continued: “AppDNA and its partners are perfectly placed to assist, having recently demonstrated how London Borough of Newham (hosts of the 2012 Olympic Games) and Tube Lines (responsible for a significant proportion of the London Underground Network) were able to quickly assess the compatibility challenge, and move ahead in adopting not only Windows Vista, but also the benefits of peripheral Microsoft technologies providing significant cost savings and productivity gains.”

The Worldwide Partner Conference provides an online and in-person forum for Microsoft partners to learn more about business growth opportunities and product innovation from Microsoft executives, along with a unique opportunity to expand business potential by connecting with thousands of other Microsoft partners.

AppDNA is exhibiting at the WPC, Houston, Texas - July 2008, booth #1062.
