DVS Soft Distribution Appoints Phil Watts to Grow Reseller Base
Oxfordshire, UK (15th July 2008) – DVS Soft Distribution Ltd announced today the appointment of Phil Watts as Managing Director. Responsible for developing DVS Soft’s online back-up business, one of Phil’s first tasks will be to grow the company’s network of resellers with a range of incentives including great margins, competitive pricing and free training.
Phil Watts joins DVS Soft Distribution Ltd from SoftScan where he was responsible for establishing the hosted email security specialist company as a leading vendor in the UK market. In addition to his role at SoftScan, Phil Watts brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in building up channel based business from his positions as Channel Sales Director at Trend Micro and as UK Sales Director at Dr Solomon’s. “Back-up is one of those chores that everybody hates to do, but increasingly even the smallest business can’t live without,” says Phil.
“DVS’s premise of hassle free online back-up with its ‘Set it, Save it, Forget it,’ mentality has a lot of appeal to resellers looking to widen their portfolio, but who don’t want the cost of additional overheads – particularly with the uncertainty of the effect that the credit crunch may have on business long term.”
Developed from a hosted service already used by the UK insurance and financial services industry, DVS Soft allows users to back-up all or part of their data on demand or to a customised schedule. Packed full of features including scheduled back-up, real-time back-up and access to specified folders via the internet, DVS Soft offers resellers a simple way to break into the back-up market.
