Jotcham and Kendall Complete New Surgery Project
Jotcham and Kendall have undertaken a design and build contract to complete the new facility in Didcot, Oxfordshire, on behalf of Sapphire Primary Care Developments.
Under the scheme an ageing facility was demolished and replaced with a larger, modern building - designed to meet the needs of the 21st century and the growing demands of an expanding town.
Jotcham and Kendall – part of building and maintenance company J & S Seddon - worked with Sapphire and Sapphire’s Halesowen based architects Gould Singleton to provide the new facility, which will cater for 16,000 patients.
The new building offers facilities including a minor operations suite, various clinics provided by the Practice and Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust, plus an integral Lloyds Pharmacy.
Geoff Major, divisional director at Jotcham and Kendall, based in The Chipping, said: “This is our fifth project for Sapphire Primary Care Developments and we are pleased the contract has run smoothly and been completed to deadline.”
Julie McCluskey, of Sapphire Primary Care Developments, said: “We are delighted with the new building, which enhances the surrounding area and provides an effective and efficient building, offering an improved environment and facilities for patients and staff alike.”
ENDS
Jotcham and Kendall is part of J & S Seddon Limited, a building, painting and maintenance company, with a workforce in excess of 1,000 people. The company has its headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent and regional offices across Britain.
