Rent-a-PhD holder – £240 for 1,000 words

Custom essay company UKEssays.com, known for selling essays and PhD standard research to students, today released figures showing 302 of their over 4,000 writers have PhDs, and many more working towards them.

The figures were released today after Dr Kate Bradley (University of Kent) said in The Independent that people who write for these companies “fail to understand the value of a degree.”

Whilst Dr Bradley claims that it is a “worrying development” if postgraduate research students are “signing up to ghost-write essays for lazy students”, www.UKEssays.com spokesman, Ed Longhurst, points out that several of the top writers are already known in the academic community: “Of the 4,000 writers on our books, 302 have PhDs. We know of around 20 or so who write regularly for respected journals, and at least 2 have written and edited several law books that are likely to appear on university reading lists and bookshop.”

When asked to comment on the accusation they sell to “lazy students” who are trying to cheat the system, Mr. Longhurst states: “It would be morally questionable if we allowed students to hand the work in as their own. But we never sell work to students who we know or suspect will use it to cheat. A student completing any degree, whether it’s a bachelors or a PhD, must use our writer as a research assistant and nothing more.”

A published writer on their books stated: “I feel comfortable writing these assignments because I know www.UKEssays.com feel strongly about cheating. I wouldn’t work for a company that didn’t hold these values”.
