Our client is a well-known healthcare communications agency with offices on both sides of the Atlantic. They are committed to quality and excellence in everything they do, creating integrated campaigns across a wide range of communication channels. Due to expansion, they are seeking a new senior editor to join their friendly team. This position is based at their vibrant central London office.

Reporting to the editorial manager, you will be responsible for the management and implementation of editorial projects. Your responsibilities will include project management, writing, editing, proofreading and organising artwork of editorial projects. You will be the main point of contact with clients regarding editorial matters on current projects and will ensure that projects meet the client’s brief, whilst completed to the highest possible editorial standards within the agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in biomedical or life sciences, and will have demonstrable experience in managing projects autonomously. You will be familiar with handling a range of publishing projects, and will have proven skills in writing, editing and proof-reading. Your solid communication abilities, both internally, with clients and external authors, means that you will be able to handle external meetings and conference calls professionally and with confidence. As a senior member of the team, you will be a good team-player who is able to co-ordinate efforts with the editor(s) and editorial assistants, providing appropriate feedback whilst acting as a mentor.
