As senior editor of drama and soaps, you will be passionate and experienced in creating multimedia content, in an online environment for a leading broadcaster. You will have a solid understanding of prime content that draws users deeper into the site and have excellent writing, grammar and visual editorial skills. You will have worked as a senior content producer or higher and be looking to take responsibility for the content strategy, The senior editor will have the ability to persuade stakeholders of strategy pitches and be able to represent the business in a manner that heavily represents the brands tone. You will be driven to produce the best online content and user experience for a prestigious broadcaster and have an interest in technology developments in the media space that affect broadcast. You must have experience producing content for a commercial major TV dramas or soaps.

Your role

The senior editor of drama and soaps will commission compelling and realistically priced content to scope and approve new and improved functionality and excellent look and feel for the site.  The role involves monitoring and communicating site performance metrics while working closely with partnership teams within online sales. You will also implement the best brand fit for affiliate partnerships. You will continually deliver high standard editorial and be responsible for the sites social media presence. You will manage a team of three direct reports and deal with key business stakeholders. The role will at times involve deputising for the head of content and head of online.
