About the role
Become Edge's online editor and be part of one of the most prestigious brands in gaming.
You will build on Edge Online's position as a leading source for international game industry news, features and commentary, growing its readership while upholding Edge's editorial values and style. Responding to and leading the global news agenda, you will conceive, research, commission and schedule features, reviews, previews and interviews for the website. Managing contributors will form a large part of the role, though you will also have the opportunity to write news and other content. Working with publishers and sales teams, you will integrate commercial initiatives on the website and manage the implementation of the next stage of Edge Online's evolution.
About you
Passionate about games and the Edge brand, you will have an extensive knowledge of the videogame industry and its history, and preferably have a wide network of game industry contacts.
Experience of working in web publishing at section editor, deputy editor or editor level is essential for the role. Alongside this you will have strong sub-editing and excellent writing skills, as well as experience of commissioning contributors. Web coding skills and experience of managing online communities are also advantages. You will possess excellent organisational and planning skills as well as the ability to work to daily deadlines.
