As a Campaign for the Farmed Environment communications (CFE) officer you will be reporting to head of communications and the Campaign for Farmed Environment project co-ordinator.

The job holder will work closely with the project co-ordinator and the communications staff to ensure consistent communications about the Campaign for the Farmed Environment on the campaign website, in the press and in national and regional publications.

The job holder will also liaise with county co-ordinators, county groups and regional offices for all the partner organisations.

Alongside being educated to A level standard (or equivalent), the candidate will have a further communications qualification and some knowledge of agriculture, experience in working with partner organisations and dispersed groups of people.

The candidate will also have project management experience and experience of writing press releases, publishing to the web, writing and co-ordinating publications and organising events.

The candidate needs to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, and have excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with staff and stakeholders at all levels.

To work well as part of a team is essential and a well organised approach is needed.
