Press Association appoints two US entertainment correspondents

The Press Association (PA) has appointed two entertainment correspondents for its Premier Showbiz service.

Shereen Low will be based in New York working with PA's North American news correspondent, Wesley Johnson, and Ellie Genower will be based in LA, joining video journalist Katie Spencer.

Both Ms Low and Ms Genower have previously worked for PA.

Ms Low has been with PA for six years, having joined from university, while Ms Genower has a background in freelance magazine writing.

Ms Low said: "The challenges of working abroad are both exciting and daunting.  My main aim is to further develop our multimedia coverage so that I can deliver a complete package to customers."

Ms Genower said: "I'm really looking forward to my new role, I think it is important to have a journalist covering LA as it's a major hub of entertainment news."

Premier Showbiz service is for online and mobile customers, and PA's newswire service.
