Catherine Deshayes is appointed property news editor of TheMoveChannel.com
Deshayes was previously a freelance property feature writer.
In her new role she will be responsible for breaking news about international and UK property stories, overseeing content for the website, and writing property features and international buying guides, she told Journalism.co.uk.
Her advice to those wanting to move into property writing is: "Have a genuine interest in property and try and travel a lot to see how property/social trends differ."
