PCC appoints Simon Sapper to board, promotes Stephen Abell and William Gore

The Press Complaints Commission (PCC) has appointed Simon Sapper to its board.

Sapper, who is assistant secretary of the Communication Workers' Union, succeeds Rear Admiral Nick Wilkinson, who is retiring from the board with immediate effect.

Former PCC assistant directors Stephen Abell and William Gore have also been promoted by the commission.

Abell becomes deputy director, while Gore will step up to the position of public affairs director.
