The Sunday Telegraph's deputy editor moves to Guardian Business

Dan Roberts has left his position as deputy editor of the Sunday Telegraph to become head of the Guardian business team.

Ian MacGregor, editor of the Sunday Telegraph, said: “I wish Dan every success for the future and I have enjoyed working with him in the last year.”

Appointed deputy editor of the Sunday Telegraph a year ago, Roberts was previously the paper's City editor. He joined the Telegraph group from the Financial Times in 2006.

At the Financial Times he had held various positions: US business editor, industrial editor in London, telecommunications correspondent, and Lombard column writer. Before that he was business correspondent at the Daily Telegraph, and reported for the Yorkshire Evening Post and Birmingham Post.
