Telegraph promotes Christopher Hope and Express' Tom Whitehead

Telegraph Media Group has made two new appointments to its home affairs team.

Christopher Hope, who joined the group in 2003, has been promoted to Whitehall editor.

He has previously worked at the Daily Telegraph as business correspondent, industry editor, home affairs correspondent, and home affairs editor.

Joining Hope as home affairs editor is Tom Whitehead, who has moved from the Daily Express.

Whitehead was home affairs correspondent for the Express from May 2005, prior to which he was a general news reporter.
