Kevin Garside promoted to chief sports writer at the Telegraph

The Telegraph's Formula One correspondent will now be the group's chief sports writer, working for The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk.

Garside was the Telegraph’s Formula One correspondent for five years. In 2005 he received the Sports Journalists Association award for Specialist Correspondent of The Year.
 
Mark Skipworth, executive editor of sport at the Telegraph Media Group said: "I am delighted that Kevin is going to be our Chief Sports Writer.  He has been a first-class Formula One correspondent and did a brilliant job for us during the Beijing Olympics as a general correspondent."
