International Herald Tribune names Bettina Wassener as assistant business editor

Bettina Wassener is the new assistant business editor, Asia, for the International Herald Tribune.

Wassener previously worked at CNBC Europe as news editor for Germany.

Prior to CNBC, she was Frankfurt correspondent at BusinessWeek in 2005 and worked for the Financial Times in Germany.

During her time with the FT, Wassener spent a year in London working on the then new FT.com website.

She also worked for Bridge News as an emerging markets reporter in London, and Control Risks Group (CRG), the security consultancy, where she covered eastern and southern Europe for CRG's information service.
