Lukas Becker named editor of IFLR1000

Euromoney Institutional Investor has appointed Lukas Becker as editor of IFLR1000.

Becker, previously IFLR1000's EMEA regional editor, will be responsible for coordinating legal market researchers across the London, New York and Hong Kong offices of the publication.

He will also be tasked with keeping global staff informed of upheavals in the financial markets - and getting a 1080-page book to press on time, he told Journalism.co.uk.

This new brief is the latest stage in Becker's steady rise from his first position with IFLR1000 as a temporary researcher.

Reflecting on his success, Becker said: "Don't be afraid of a bit of old-fashioned hard work. Once you've got your foot in the door, it's up to you to show that you are willing to work harder than anyone else to move forward."
