Rob Armstrong and Kevin Nichols join Dow Jones & Company

Rob Armstrong joins Dow Jones & Company as a special writer to provide analysis on pharmaceuticals, telecoms and technology. Kevin Nichols joins as a reporter covering energy and industrials. Both are based in the New York newsroom.

"In adding Rob and Kevin to our team we are continuing to tap some of the brightest minds in the business world to add fresh perspectives to our investment banking coverage," commented Adam Smallman, global managing editor for Investment Banking Solutions at Dow Jones, speaking in a release.

"Global trends in pharmaceuticals, telecoms, technology and energy indicate that bankers and corporate advisers will be committing significant resources into these sectors. Rob and Kevin join our renowned global sector reporting teams, where they will use their experience from hedge funds and banking to provide unique perspective, deeper coverage and increased analysis and opinion on the topics critical to our investment banker readership."

Prior to his appointment at Dow Jones, Armstrong was an equities analyst for the hedge fund Seminole Capital Partners from 2004 to 2008. Before that, he worked as a technical writer at Pfizer Inc.

Before Nichols joined the company he was vice president at Morgan Stanley, where he was a member of the principal strategies group responsible for trading global proprietary portfolios and conducting analysis of public and private companies. He was also a member of the equities sales and information technology teams during his seven years at the investment bank.
