Kurt Edwards moves to Future as digital commercial director

Future, the special-interest media group, has announced that Kurt Edwards will be joining them as their new digital commercial director in early December.

Edwards will be leaving behind his role at Bauer Media as head of digital sales, where he has worked since 2003. His career started in 1995 at Capital Radio. Eight years later, he moved to Bauer Media (then Emap) where he first worked in business development, interactive. Later he transferred to Emap Radio as the commerical advertising director of Kiss Radio.

"We're thrilled to have Kurt join Future at a time when our digital strategy is going from strength to strength - as we continue to grow our portfolio of websites and online audience," said Simon Wear, chief operating officer at Future UK, in a release.

"Future is at a very exciting stage in its digital development - successfully shifting focus from print to become a truly cross-platform media business," added Edwards. "The opportunity to take on a new challenge at Future was very appealing to me, and I’m really looking forward to getting started."
