Are you a highly enthusiastic and knowledgeable sci-fi fan? Fancy a job writing and reviewing your favourite sci-fi movies and TV shows for the UKs best-selling sci-fi and fantasy magazine?

Take on this rare opportunity of Editorial Assistant and you will have plenty of opportunity to learn the ropes of magazine editorial by working across all sections of the magazine. Most of your time will be spent writing entertaining and authoritative copy, particularly reviews. Youll also contribute news stories to the website, organise competitions, conduct interviews, carry out research and help represent SFX at fan events.

So if you know your Tom Baker from your Colin Baker and your Stargate Atlantis from your Stargate Universe this could be the role for you!

About You

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has an in-depth knowledge of sci-fi and fantasy, keeps up to date on all the new releases and knows whats going on in the industry.

You will be keen to take a step into journalism where you will be looking to develop a range of editorial skills. A fantastic and well organised writer, you will combine this with your passion and knowledge of sci-fi to produce brilliant and entertaining copy. You will be a confident communicator, have great time-management skills, as well as being a team player. You will be ready to take on any task a busy editorial office can throw at you.
