Job title: Technical Editor
Salary: 16-25k depending on experience

Full details: We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic writer to become an integral member of our friendly team. You should be self motivated, have a passion for photography and keep abreast of the latest technologies. Day to day you will be liaising with the manufacturers product managers and PR teams, reviewing and appraising camera kit, searching for exclusive news and managing the small editorial team. You should be highly organised, be able to think on your feet, not afraid to go the extra mile and have a sharp eye for detail.
You will be working on a range of our successful existing products including ePHOTOzine, Pentax User, Photodo and FPME, while having the passion to help with new projects and help drive our business forward.
Photographic technical knowledge - have a passion for technology and be able to hold your own when talking about the future of photography. We want you to become an opinion leader.
Ear on the ground - be eager to find exclusive news stories.
Product tests - know when a piece of gear is good and when it's not. You'll find the flaws and highlight the wow features.
Able to write concise, creative copy - take the jargon and bust it to create ease to understand reviews, techniques and news.
Excellent communication skills - you will be arranging one-to-ones with product managers and camera designers at press launches while dealing with day to day reader/member enquiries via our forums and occasional telephone support and work closely with the adverising and web teams while managing the small editorial team.
Face of ePHOTOzine - make sure we're seen in the industry, attend press launches, regular phone contact with key players.
An organised person. You should have excellent organisational skills and be able to forward plan reviews several months in advance. As well as coming up with ideas for new features.
Ability to manage and motivate the existing team to take the business forward.
