The World Association of Newspapers (WAN) is a group of 72 national newspaper associations, individual newspaper executives in 100 nations, 13 news agencies, and nine regional press organisations. It is a non-profit, non-government organisation that aims to defend press freedom and promote the newspaper publishing industry.
