I'm the co-author of the Footprint Tanzania guidebook, 2nd Edition, with recent articles published in The Independent, Independent on Sunday, Sunday Express, Daily Express and Travel Africa. Also published in Wexas' Traveller magazine, CNN Traveller, Guardian Unlimited and Italy Magazine.
Other information: I'm a freelance travel writer with extensive knowledge of Africa and Nepal. Adventure travel, trekking, responsible tourism and "voluntouring" are my main specialist areas. I also have expert local knowledge of the Sabine Hills area of Lazio, where we have a home and an olive grove. I take good quality images to accompany features.
Broadcasting experience includes being interviewed for BBC Radio Scotland on adventure travel to risky destinations and for Arte, the German/French documentary TV channel on responsible tourism in Mozambique
A MBA graduate, I've also written company literature and websites, and translate from German to English.
