Other information: A former staff writer on construction, design and transport for Building magazine, onoffice and FX, I want to share my experience, sharp writing style and excellent observational eye with editors and corporate clients.
I specialise in sustainability, regulation and architecture and am expanding my skills in interior design and training journalism.
Since I founded my own company, I have continued to work with former employers and expanded the list of magazines in which I've had commissions to include 25 Beautiful Homes and Good Homes. I've written a technical project piece for Construction Manager and now carry out regular shifts on the news desk.
And I organised speakers and topics for UBM's online conference, Infrastructure Now. The virtual event drew 1,500 registrants and 450 live attendees with an average dwell time of over three hours.
On the corporate side, I have done a lot of work for Travis Perkins, including writing press releases, by-lined articles, award entries and web pages, including an article about the benefits of PFI from the point of view of the facilities management industry.
I have put together the first of a recurring quarterly training newsletter for the UK's main provider of housing warranty and insurance, the National House Building Council.
I have written a brochure for international law firm, Pinsent Masons.
I have produced several web sites on topics as broad as bullet-resistant material, non-reflective glass and salmonella testing for Holland's third-largest company, chemist, DSM, which demonstrate my ability to turn highly technical and very advanced scientific info into prose that really communicates a product's value to a customer base. My efforts here also tend towards project management due to the large number of information needed and interviews conducted.
