Other information: I finished my NCTJ training at Norton College in Sheffield in March 2012.

Over the past year I've been up my portfolio and accruing work experience, and have completed week-long placements at five different regional newspapers. During these placements I have written copy, interviewed members of the public in both telephone and face-to-face interviews and through vox pops, assisted in proof-reading and sub-editing, shadowed reporters at both magistrates and crown court, as well as taking photographs where necessary and getting to grips with different publishing systems such as Atex and Scoop.
