Hi,

As I've said, I've been pestering the news editor of my local radio station for work experience for some time now. After sending several emails, I called him yesterday to chase things up. When I spoke to him he said; "I'm planning the rota now. I'll email you some dates to come in & let me know if they're convenient." That was yesterday lunchtime & I've received nothing yet. Am I wrong to have assumed I would've received them yesterday, considering that he said he was planning the rota at the time we spoke?

I don't know if I should call him now to query it or sit tight & wait.

I'm not as familiar with the workings of radio as I am with print & he's so far proved to be difficult to get hold of. I'll appreciate opinions.

Give it time, persistence is a virtue, but news editors, in broadcast as in print, are busy. Just till Monday. Afternoon, I'd say. Good luck, whatever you decide to do.
