As of today we've enabled new server-side spam protection on email addresses using the @freelancejournalism.com domain name. If you already have an @freelancejournalism.com forwarding alias this means that you should see a significant decline in the amount of spam messages you receive.
If you're currently using your own email address on your freelance listing, why not take this opportunity to set up an @freelancejournalism.com forwarding alias? This is basically a dummy email address that will forward to another address of your choosing, and means that potential clients can contact you but will not be able to see your personal email address. To take advantage of this, please drop me a line to
ed@journalism.co.uk with details of the forwarding alias you'd like to have set up (we recommend a
firstname.lastname@freelancejournalism.com format) and the address to which you'd like it to forward.
