E.D.E.N Magazine
Environmental Designs with Ethical Notions. E.D.E.N Magazine is a new Fashion and Lifestyle magazine with is themed around all things Ethical and eco friendly. It is aimed at young fashion conscious female (in their 20’s) who care about the environment and ethical issues. The first issue will be launched at the start of next month as a hard copy on sustainable hemp paper, alongside a downloadable online version.
E.D.E.N has been set up as part of my final year project at university and currently has a growing number of contributors and contacts with a promising success. However with almost zero budget, we are sourcing student journalists to act as contributors in order to provide them with a good platform for exposure with this experience.

Articles still in need of journalist contributors:
1. Don’t waste food: Statistics of wasted food and impact on landfill followed by tips of how to reduce footprint.
2. Sustaining healthy bodies- nutrition fitting too dietary needs: Is being vegetarian vs vegan vs. meat eater healthier? Even question RAW? Organic really beneficial? What do our nutrition does our body naturally need? What are veggies vs. vegans missing out on? How can it be supplemented? Could the awareness Vegans hold mean healthier living vs. meat eaters eating without thought?
3. Impact of the meat/dairy farm industry on the environment: Other than animal rights benefits, there are many other reasons way people opt for a meat free and animal product free lifestyle. Statics on water sustainability and waste of energy resources and land etc.
4. So what do you eat: A very common question for Vegans and veggies, also mention other common questions they come across when revealing their dietary need. List pastas etc. what’s ok, A few meat/diary substitute brands with prices vs the real thing, Give a few examples of options in restaurants, Include a vegan vs veg vs meat eaters food diary over 3 days, Mention any/no laws behind stating veg/offering veg option, Look into the growth of veggies/vegans in UK
5. 5 Recommended Organic restaurants and 5 Recommended Vegetarian restaurants around UK: Vary locations, Include addresses and website, List price range, Mention a few ‘favourite’ dishes/desserts, Speciality dishes/drinks etc? IMC- environment in restaurant? Special offers? Surrounding location Layout like 1st best option, 2nd best etc…(For this one please include any photos you can find of either dishes available/the restaurant itself- these can be from the internet)
6. Article on reducing carbon footprint by staying in UK: statics of the impact planes have on environment, promote keep our seaside holiday culture alive top ten destinations in UK.
7. Eco resort holidays: Either in UK or abroad, provide a guide of top 5 destination for the Eco and nature lovers, details of prices with photos and details from websites etc.
8. Cycling: Listing Health benefits, Environmental benefits options of Second hand from markets etc- brick lane is famous for this. Provide a great buy bicycles guide with photos and prices (the design and look of these bikes is important- it is a fashion magazine would also be great to find brands with eco or ethical philosophies).
9. Public transport vs cars: Environmental benefit and statistics, What do you do while traveling- books, ipod, ipad, laptop etc: Make up a shopping guide for travel equipment: earphones, book covers, travel friendly items. (All products listed such have photos and prices and should carry some sort of eco-friendly or ethical philosophy)
