Internal company changes see Cook take up position of assistant editor

Ewen Cook will be the new assistant editor at Fishing News International, a monthly printed paper published by Intrafish Media, the leading provider of business news for the global seafood industry.

Cook was previously staff writer at Seafood International, another monthly Intrafish Media magazine.

This week's jpod technology correspondent Sarah Marshall speaks to Liz Heron, social media editor of the New York Times – who has more than 260,000 Facebook subscribers – about why she is encouraging all foreign correspondents at the title to add the subscribe button.

It also hears from Benjamin Cohen, technology correspondent for Channel 4 News, who has 25,000 Facebook subscribers, and Sky News' digital editor Neal Mann, whose social media presence is fieldproducer and has 15,000 subscribers.
