Cordani began her career in financial journalism, working for business magazine Ventures.
She went on to a stint as a freelancer, working with various Emap titles, before becoming features editor of Bauer title That’s Life!
Her advice for those wanting to work as a features director is: “At the start of your career, don’t just focus on getting a job on a glossy, get as much breadth of experience as you can. My time spent knocking on doors and writing legally tricky real-life stories gave me a strong foundation to build a career on”.
