Richards has written for numerous motoring magazines, including Classics Monthly, Practical Classics, Jaguar Driver, and Classic & Sports Car. He also worked as a consultant for BBC motoring programme Top Gear.
Classic Car Weekly, launched in 1990, was licensed for seven years but returned to the Bauer portfolio earlier this year.
"I’m passionate about bringing the weekly window on the classic car world to enthusiasts, dealers and classic car clubs," Richards said. "The potential of the classic market is huge, and still expanding."
