George Pascoe-Watson has left the Sun after 22 years years: he started as a junior reporter and finished as political editor.

He will become a partner at Portland Public Relations Consultancy.

On leaving the Sun, Pascoe-Watson said: "I leave the paper where I have served as man and boy. I am delighted to have played a part in the newspaper’s switch to supporting the Conservative Party. I look forward to a long and successful working relationship with Dominic [Mohan, editor] and everyone else at the Sun."
