Incisive Media title Global Pensions has appointed Giovanni Legorano as a journalist. He will be responsible for writing news and features for the newswire.

Previously a teacher at the European University in Madrid, a researcher at the European parliament and an international consultant, Legorano also worked for Spanish bank BBVA and for a venture capital company in Brussels.

He advises those wanting to be journalists: 'To be passionate about the profession and to be very persistent.'
